The Frederick-Foote
Communications Conspiracy (FFCC) featuring Sean Nowell -
a New York City-based jazz/new music multimedia performance group
that focuses on creating audiovisual events. The FFCC presents experimental
performances that merge live structured improvisational music with
prerecorded electroacoustic soundscapes--both of which are synchronized
with live projections of avant-garde film and video works. Through
musical/sound events, both electronic and acoustic, prerecorded
and live, and that are synchronized to accompany live film and video
projections, THE FFCC combines avant-garde cinema with jazz/new
music performance. The result is a multimedia audiovisual experience
realized through a marriage of new and vintage technologies.

Sean Nowell - tenor
saxophone, flute and electronics
I am a native Alabamian. I grew up attending jam sessions in Birmingham
and learned from the local masters of jazz, blues, and southern
funk.
The roots of Alabama jazz scene delve deeply into the essence
of gospel and soul music, so much that feelings always outweighs
the strictness of technique.
This eclectic music scene inspired a
need to progress, so I moved to Boston and studied Composition and
Alto Saxophone at Berkley College of Music.
After spending an invaluable
year gaining performance experience touring the southeast with
now legendary jam band, Far South Movement, I made a move to New York
to study and receive a Masters from Manhattan School of Music
in Tenor Saxophone.
Since the move to New York, I become involved
with some crazy projects that have taken me to places and have given
me experiences that most people have never considered having. Especially
not me.
