Festival's Poster The poster of the VI International Chopin & Friends Festival was designed by Mariusz Stawarski, an artist from Malbork, Poland. Mariusz Stawarski graduated in 1993 from the Department of Interior Design at The State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Poland. Since 1986 he has been creating art works with a specific dose of humor. He was recognized at numerous local and international art competitions and has been published in the popular Polish magazine "Wprost". In 1999 he received a prize from the Polish section of IBBY for the illustration to a book "Sny" (Dreams) by M. Stokowski. Mr. Stawarski works currently for the Malbork Castle Museum in Poland. Posters of the Previous Festivals All five posters were designed by Jan Sawka - architect, painter and graphic designer who designed, among others, concert sets for the Grateful Dead 1989, the Wroclaw Jazz Festival, Bam Art Center, New York Times, Harold Cluman Theater, Samual Beckett Theater, Jean Cocteau Repertory Theater, and others.
