Recent Works by the Emotionalist Art Group

The Emotionalist Art Group is not defined as a group of New York artists, or a group of Polish-American artists, or even – a group of artists scattered across America and Europe? No, this group is not based on geographic location. The Emotionalists are from many different backgrounds and what keeps them together is a certain view of art: a shared characteristic understanding of what it is to create art and to be an artist in the modern world. They also embody unity among artists, a family that provides emotional support to its members.

When founded in 1994 the group was called „ In Tune With Nature”. After four years the name „Emotionalists” was adopted. The creator of this artistic manifestation, whose purpose and meaning are stated in the group’s name, is Lubomir Tomaszewski.

Under the auspices of the Chopin & Friends Festival, the Shtooka Gallery will present the latest work of the Emotionalist Art Group. The group will present art in a wide variety of mediums, created by its many members and exploring the theme of human emotion.

“Man is an inextricable part of his environment. There is no visible separation of nature, man, and art. I attempt in my work to fuse all three together in quiet harmony. I wish to create a piece of art that can be lived every day, but that continues to evoke new emotions from the viewer.” - Lubomir Tomaszewski.
