President and Artistic Director

Marian M. Zak
Marian Zak, choreographer, is a graduate of the State Ballet School in Warsaw, Poland. He received M.S. from Polytechnic Institute in Cracow, Poland and M.A. from New York University, NY, USA. He has received acknowledgments from the highest ranking theaters and arts institutions of his native Poland. He was the principal dancer with the Cracow Opera, and the Silesian State Opera, where he directed and choreographed. He was also a founder of Dance Theater Silva Rerum which was very successful throughout the whole Poland. In 1989, he immigrated to America where he choreographed off Broadway and for Polish & Slavic Annual Festivals. He was also the School Director of the New Dance Group Studio and a Fellow Teacher at New York University. Currently, he is the President of the New York Dance & Arts Innovations, Inc.

Suzanne K. Walther, Ph.D.
Dr. Suzanne K. Walther was born in Budapest, Hungary and entered the United States as a political refugee. She has a BA degree in Anthropology from the University of Hawaii, and MA and Ph.D. degrees in Dance from New York University. She has taught classical dance technique and dance-related academic courses for the United Nations Recreation Council, at Cedar Crest College, and at New York University where she is currently an adjunct professor in dance. She has been a dance critic for several publications including The Call Chronicle Newspapers and The New Haven Register. Her articles have appeared in academic journals such as Congress on Research in Dance (CORD), Choreography and Dance and the American Book Review. She also reviews dance companies for the New York State Council on the Arts. Her book The Dance of Death; Kurt Jooss and the Weimar Years was published in 1994 by Harwood Academic Publishers. Her poetry translations from Hungarian were included in an anthology, In Quest of the Miracle Stag. The poetry of Hungary from the 13th Century to the Present. Her hobbies include painting in oil, photography, video, swimming and gardening. She continues to take classical ballet classes at the New York Conservatory of Dance, where she has studied with Vladimir Dokoudovsky for many years.

Przemyslaw J. Moskal
Przemyslaw Moskal graduated with Masters of Professional Studies from Interactive Telecommunications Program at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. He received his Bachelors Degree from St. Joseph's College where he studied Psychology. Mr. Moskal is currently a new media freelancer and consultant for a variety of commercial and non-profit projects. He also creates interactive, digital art forms, which are both screen based and installations. His artworks have been recognized and exhibited in France, Great Britain, Poland, Thailand and the United States during various art festivals and interactive design competitions. Mr. Moskal received grants from New York State Council on the Arts and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council for his recent project Virtual & Real. He also volunteers to organize interactive art exhibitions and is responsible for creating digital content for NYDAI. Mr. Moskal is an adjunct professor at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania where he teaches Interactive Media at the Dept. of Media, Communication and Technology. Treasurer:

Eric Walther, Ph.D.
Dr. Eric Walther is a Professor of Philosophy and Computer Science at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, where he is currently Acting Chairman of the Philosophy Department. His Ph.D. is from Yale University, and he earned an MS degree in Computer Science from Polytechnic University. He has published articles in symbolic logic, parapsychology, business ethics and the philosophy of science. He has done extensive research in statistical language processing at Brown University. His current research interests are in artificial intelligence and the philosophy of the mind. His hobbies include hunting, vegetable gardening, home repairs and fine wines.

Zbigniew Chalecki
Zbigniew Chalecki is a successful businessman in New York City. Together with his wife Atena they have been supporting NYDAI and became its biggest sponsors from the very beginning. Mr. Chalecki is not only NYDAI's biggest supporter but he also has been very helpful in attracting other business to support NYDAI's activities. Zbigniew Chalecki is a great example of a businessman who understands the importance of giving back to community and improving its image as a long term investment in the future of our community. Mr. Chalecki was invited to the board of directors in January, 2000 to carry out the function of the fund raiser.

Anna Zak
Anna Zak currently works as the Public Relations representative to New York State Senator Martin Malave Dilan. She is also a part-time student at the Wagner School of Public Service at New York University in the Master of Public Administration Program with a focus in Public and Non Profit Management & Policy and an International Specialization. Ms. Zak holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors from Long Island University where she majored in English Literature, 2001. Upon Graduation from LIU she was nominated for the Who Is Who Among American College and University Students as well as for the Sigma Tau Delta National English Honor Society. She was also granted the Honors Merit Award as well as an Honorary Award for the Beast Senior Thesis in the English Department of LIU. During her studies at LIU she was a student and a mentor in the University's Honor Program. She was also a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society for freshman and has received the Dean's Award three times. Ms. Zak actively participated on the Students Activity Board and in the LIU English Club where she aided in organizing student activities such as on and off campus poetry readings. She was one of the 35 students chosen to participate in The National Collegiate Honors Council's study abroad program in Madrid, Spain where she studied for a semester at the Universidad de Alcala de Henares. To cover the costs of the study abroad Ms. Zak was offered the Irene Narividad/Andrea Cortese Honors Award and the Kosciuszko Foundation Scholarship. In 2000 she was awarded the Editor's Choice Award from poetry.com and the International Library of Poetry. Since 1999 she has participated as NYDAI volunteer, hosting weekly Art Nights events in Europa Club, the Annual International Chopin and Friends Festival as well as reporting for Magazine.Art.
